I have been involved with Charity Radio since 2017, presenting Ceolplay since 2018. I’m a keen musician playing banjo, bouzouki, and guitar.

 Tá suim mór agam in ár gceol, ár teanga, ár cluichí, agus ár stair. (I have a great interest in our music, our language, our games and our history)

Ceolplay Show:

Ceolplay is a traditional Irish music show. Very little “new” music features on the mainstream stations, so I try to promote artists who may not get the opportunities their talent deserves.

Once every six weeks or so Colum runs a feature called the “Intercontinental Céilí”. This usually comprises six sets of music from six céilí bands.

On every show, he plays one song sung in Irish, in an attempt to promote our language.

Colum will be introducing a new feature on his show called the “Long Shot” . This will feature a song or a piece of music over seven minutes long.
