The Saturday Set with John Ryan is an eclectic mix of tunes ranging from Contemporary to Crooner. Music from genres such as Soul, Motown, Mod, New Romantic, Lounge, Disco and Singer/Songwriters. John also supports Irish Artists as well as classic show tunes from his “other life” as an actor and singer in Musical Theatre. Tune in every Saturday 2 till 4pm as John energises your afternoon.

Who is John Ryan.

John Ryan started his radio career in 1981 at Community Radio Fingal in Skerries. He presented weekend shows for 3 years before Radio Dublin called for his services on their fledgling Channel 2 service in 1984. Other stations over the years include Dublin’s ABC and Phoenix FM. Following the closure of Pirate stations, John embarked on a successful Singing and Acting career. However, John returned to the airwaves 2018 with Charity Radio, meeting some great colleagues there. John is delighted to be part of the Hits Radio Ireland team.
